Sanoj Mishra’s THE DIARY OF WEST BENGAL is based on the influx of Rohingya Muslims and Bangladeshi extremists in West Bengal. The story centers around Suhasini (Arshin Mehta), who is forced to run away from Bangladesh after her father, a temple priest, is killed by a group of Muslims in… a communal riot. She enters the Sundarban jungles of West Bengal. But she is forced to flee from there too after she realizes that a Kazi is converting refugees to Islam. She then comes across a stranger Prateek (Yajur Marwah). He gives her refuge in his village. Over a period of time, the two of them fall in love and get married. However, Suhasini doesn’t know that Prateek is actually a Muslim whose real name is Ateek and that she has unknowingly become a part of the deadly game of conversion.
